SEIU Healthcare: The Best Is Yet to Come

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

It has now been seven months since we gathered in Baltimore to launch SEIU Healthcare. With the New Year, it seems a good time that we take stock of our achievements so far.

SEIU Healthcare has given our 38 healthcare Locals a cohesiveness and coherence that we've never enjoyed until now. We are no longer 38 Locals each on our own, but part of a national whole, with many more resources to draw on.

All of this work sets the stage for bigger and better things to come. The coming year will bring still more bargaining victories, more growth. And in November--with the all-out mobilization of our members, our families and our allies--we will finally put an end to the devastating policies of of George W. Bush.
