Allows Us To Unite More Workers

By forming the national healthcare union, we will become the recognized voice of front-line healthcare workers everywhere, fueling our ability to help members win by uniting more and more workers in our union. Together, we will build a democratic organization of and by healthcare workers that:

Develops innovative new approaches to uniting workers—whether they work for large, national companies, non-profits, or regional healthcare systems—and then duplicates those approaches across the country to help us grow stronger for everyone’s benefit.

Overcomes employer resistance to workers joining SEIU Healthcare by giving employers an opportunity to work together with us to build effective, beneficial partnerships for better healthcare.

Utilizes workers’ existing relationships with employers in one area to help us unite more workers for the same employers in other parts of the county, giving us greater strength geographically and within individual companies.

Holds ourselves accountable to utilizing best practices and coordinating our efforts to help more healthcare workers join our union.

Attracts more nurses and doctors through our national organizations for RNs, The Nurse Alliance of SEIU, and for physicians, The National Doctors Alliance.
